** Snapshot of Daily Duties:
*** Provide care to patients in the following settings:
* Routine follow-up visits in the office
* Urgent follow-up visits in the office
* Urgent and provider requested consults and new patient visits
* Communicate patient care activities to the physician (visit notes/test results).
* Participate in clinical continuous quality improvement activities.
* Collaborate with physicians in managing acute and long-term medical needs of patients.
* Order appropriate medication, laboratory, and diagnostic procedures.
* Administer medications and injections.
* Interview and advise patients regarding health and illness prevention.
* Recommend community resources to meet patient and family needs.
* Instruct patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions. Provide patient education.
* Maintain and review patient’s records, charts, and other pertinent information.
* Triage patient telephone calls and provides consultation.
** Must Haves
*** Registered Nursing license as well as degree level required by each state to obtain NP license.
* Graduate of an accredited program and board certified with prescriptive authority.
* Strong interpersonal skills are a must, knowledge of billing services is required, understands the various responsibilities physician/NP/Patient relationship.
* Successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner program with certification by a national Nurse Practitioner certification board.
* Three (3) years professional nursing experience in a clinic or hospital setting.
* Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required, or Basic Life Support (BLS) required
