Registered Nurse IR - Mentor, Ohio

A Registered Nurse with expertise in Interventional Radiology is needed to support the dynamic Interventional Radiology department at a major medical center in Mentor, OH. This contract position offers a 40-hour workweek with diverse responsibilities in both procedural and pre/post-procedure patient care areas.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care in the Interventional Radiology suites, including two body IR rooms, two neuro IR rooms, CT, and ultrasound interventional suites.
• Manage patient care in the 12-bed Pre/Post-procedure unit, maintaining a 3:1 nurse-to-patient ratio.
• Float between procedural areas and pre/post care to deliver comprehensive support.
• Respond to on-call duties as scheduled, covering two weekends (Saturday-Sunday) and one weeknight per month to ensure continuous departmental readiness.

Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
• Proven experience in Interventional Radiology nursing.
• Ability to adapt to fluctuating patient care needs across multiple IR procedure rooms and the Pre/Post area.
• Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills are essential.
