About This Role

The RN in the Med Surg Unit at Cleveland Clinic Mentor Hospital provides care to adult patients with various medical issues or those preparing for or recovering from surgery. This role is ideal for compassionate caregivers who excel in delivering exceptional patient care.

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Evaluate, update, and revise plan of care to achieve expected outcomes.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and families using educational materials.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to nursing protocol.

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

• 1+ years of current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting
• Military RN experience considered

• Current RN License in Ohio
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through AHA or American Red Cross
