Responsibilities

How This Role Impacts--And Provides Value To--Others

The Quality Inspector position is part of the Quality Team and reports to the Quality Manager. This role involves a broad range of responsibilities to ensure success, including:

  • Developing and maintaining company inspection reports.
  • Inspecting goods or products according to quality and safety standards.
  • Ensuring goods and products comply with company standards as well as Federal and State law.
  • Ensuring test equipment is calibrated and functioning correctly.
  • Reporting quality anomalies to the supervisor.
  • Collating test data and drafting quality reports.
  • Identifying areas for improvement in quality control processes.
  • Ensuring production is not hindered by quality testing procedures.
  • Performing administrative tasks to maintain compliance with the Quality Management System.
  • Additional tasks as assigned by the Quality Manager.
Systems Used
  • Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • CSI
  • UKG
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Experience as an Inspection or Quality Technician.
  • Understanding of basic and shop mathematics.
  • Basic blueprint reading skills.
  • Ability to use and read micrometers and calipers.
  • Ability to use electrical testing equipment such as multimeters (preferred).
  • High visual awareness.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Experience in drafting reports and data collation.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret technical information.
  • Ability to stand for long periods.
