We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Quality Inspector to ensure that products meet company and customer quality standards. The Quality Inspector will examine materials, components, and finished products, identify defects, and support continuous improvement initiatives to maintain high-quality production standards.
Responsibilities- Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections on metal stamped and laser-cut parts
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, and customer specifications
- Use precision measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, tape measures, and go/no-go gauges
- Verify dimensions, tolerances, material types, and surface finishes
- Identify defects, non-conforming materials, and quality concerns during production
- Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate quality documentation
- Work with production personnel to resolve quality issues and support corrective actions
- Assist with root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards and safety procedures
- Support customer audits and internal quality audits when required
- Maintain clean and organized inspection and work areas
- Help facilitate process audits and annual ISO audits.
- Assist in maintaining the company’s quality system documentation. Ensure all documentation remains current and all processes are properly documented.
- Comply with ISO accreditation requirements
- Other duties as assigned
- 1-3 years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with precision hand measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, height stand, etc.)
- Experience inspecting metal fabricated, stamped, or laser-cut components
- Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- Experience with ISO quality systems
- Proficiency using precision measuring instruments
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
