We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced QC Chemist to join our quality team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience performing analytical and physical testing of raw materials, in‑process batches, and finished products to ensure compliance with internal specifications and customer requirements. This role requires strong laboratory skills, problem‑solving ability, and familiarity with chemical manufacturing quality systems.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine and non‑routine quality control testing on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
- Conduct analytical and physical testing including viscosity, density, pH, solids content, cure testing, tensile strength, and other product‑specific evaluations.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records, test reports, and Certificates of Analysis (COAs).
- Investigate out‑of‑specification (OOS) results and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Support production teams by providing timely QC approvals and troubleshooting assistance.
- Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and testing equipment.
- Ensure compliance with ISO, safety, and internal quality standards.
- Assist in method development, validation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Retain and organize samples according to company procedures.
- Participate in internal audits and quality improvement projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related scientific field.
- Minimum 2 years of quality control laboratory experience in chemical manufacturing, preferably within coatings, polymers, sealants, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of laboratory analytical techniques and QC documentation practices.
- Experience using laboratory instruments such as viscometers, FTIR, GC, HPLC, tensile testers, or similar equipment is preferred.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and laboratory data recording systems.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with SAP, ERP systems, or LIMS software.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and chemical handling procedures.
