Member Specialist

Position Summary

Provides member service, maintains checkout area, resolves member issues and concerns, promotes Sam's Club products and services, guides members on self‑service technology, processes member purchases, assists with payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges following company policies. Follows safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including safety sweeps.

• Handle merchandise according to proper procedures and report unsafe situations to facility management.
• Maintain entrance and exit areas, acknowledging members, verifying cards, identifying member needs, assisting purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, and ensuring a safe shopping environment.
• Review member receipts, secure Sam's Club assets, observe potential criminal activity, and maintain required documentation.
• Assist in training Member Frontline Services associates, teaching new technology and tool functionality, delivering program rollout training, and providing continuous learning opportunities.
• Maintain area of responsibility in accordance with company policies, properly handling returns, arranging merchandise, and identifying shrink and damages.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity, implement action plans, use Open Door Policy, and apply them in executing processes.
• Complete work assignments by using policies, data, and resources; collaborating with managers, co‑workers, and customers; identifying priorities and deadlines; communicating progress; and recommending improvement opportunities.

• Retail experience including operating front end equipment (e.g., cash register).
• Working with mobile retail applications.

The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $25.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
