Position Summary
The role involves providing member service, maintaining the checkout area, resolving member issues and concerns, promoting Sam's Club products and services, guiding members regarding self‑service technology, processing purchases, assisting with payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges according to company policies and procedures for different membership and payment types. The position follows company safety standards, procedures and guidelines, including conducting safety sweeps, and proper procedures for handling merchandise.
It also involves maintaining entrance and exit areas, ensuring a safe shopping environment, reviewing receipts, securing assets, monitoring for potential criminal activity, maintaining required documentation, executing emergency response procedures and ensuring compliance with security and safety practices.
- Provide member service and support, assist with purchasing decisions, locate merchandise.
- Maintain the checkout area and ensure proper handling of merchandise, safety sweeps, and safety standards.
- Resolve member issues and concerns, handle payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges.
- Guide members on self‑service technology and new program rollouts, and provide continuous learning and process improvement opportunities.
- Assist with training of Member Frontline Services associates on company processes, procedures and new technology.
- Maintain entrance and exit areas, acknowledge members, verify membership cards, and arrange/organize merchandise.
- Secure and safeguard Sam's Club assets, observe potential criminal activity, maintain paperwork, logs, and documentation.
- Execute emergency response procedures and ensure compliance with company security and safety practices.
- Identify shrink and damages, and report unsafe situations to facility management.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, ethics and integrity, using open‑door policy and aligning with business processes.
- Collate and prioritize work assignments, collaborate with managers, co‑workers, customers and partners, and recommend improvement opportunities.
- Demonstrate respect for individuals, teamwork, communication, mentoring, integrity, customer focus and striving for excellence.
- Retail experience including operating front‑end equipment such as a cash register.

The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $25.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
