Gordon Food Service has delivered excellence, expertise, and high‑quality products for over 125 years. We are seeking an Outside Food Sales Representative to cultivate relationships, develop new business, and provide innovative solutions to food‑service customers in the Mentor, OH area.

Starting base salary of $65,000 - $120,000 based on experience. Salary during training, then transition to a commission structure.

• Conduct territory management by balancing new customer acquisition with strengthening existing relationships.
• Research industry and market trends affecting restaurants within your territory.
• Identify and research prospective customers and develop tailored sales strategies.
• Visit customers on a regular basis (weekly, bi‑weekly, or monthly) to review their needs and present growth opportunities.
• Provide ongoing training on Gordon Food Service product offerings and identify additional value opportunities.
• Coordinate visit schedules, communicate order status, and provide timely updates to customers.

• Use Gordon Food Service systems, processes, and tools to manage customer relationships.
• Learn about the product portfolio available to customers.
• Master the sales process for engaging new customers.
• Build relationships within the company's extensive network of resources.
• Apply best practices for developing relationships with current and prospective customers.
• Implement strategies for effective territory management.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree and/or culinary certificate preferred.
• At least 1 year of sales, business, or food‑service experience.
• Valid state driver's license and a safe driving record.
• Ability to obtain required food safety certification.
