Maintenance Technician
- Night Shift
Location:
Mentor, Ohio
Shift: 5th Shift – Thursday
- Sunday, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment and machinery.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Maintain and repair vacuum furnaces, autoclaves, conveyors, wax presses, robotic cells, and related equipment.
- Diagnose equipment failures and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Perform maintenance and basic programming support for robotic systems.
- Assist with equipment upgrades, installations, and process improvements.
- Support production teams by ensuring equipment reliability and performance.
- Complete maintenance work involving pipe fitting, plumbing, welding, soldering, and fabrication.
- Operate maintenance equipment, including forklifts, scissor lifts, and aerial lifts.
- Assist with equipment repairs at vendor, supplier, customer, and other company facilities when required.
- Perform limited construction and installation projects as assigned.
- Handle hazardous waste materials in accordance with MSDS requirements and company policies.
- Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a strong safety culture.
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and support 6S initiatives.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
- Electrical degree, certification, or technical training.
- 3–5 years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience.
- Experience with vacuum furnace operation and repair.
- Knowledge of robotic maintenance and programming.
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, pipe fitting, welding, and soldering.
- Experience supporting manufacturing production equipment in a team‑based environment.
- Self‑motivated with a strong sense of urgency.
- Able to remain calm and effective under pressure.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical thinking skills.
- Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
- Dependable, responsive, and committed to continuous improvement.
- Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and lift throughout the shift.
- Willingness to work in varying temperatures and environmental conditions.
- Ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment and access elevated work areas.
