Manufacturing Maintenance Technician

ACO, Inc. in Amarillo, TX seeks a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to keep industrial and environmental equipment operating safely and reliably. This role performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair on compactors, conveyors, pumps, motors, hydraulic systems and facility support equipment. The technician follows strict safety and environmental procedures, supports regulatory compliance, and responds to equipment issues to minimize downtime. Working closely with operations, this position helps deliver dependable waste and environmental services to municipal, commercial and industrial customers while supporting a strong, safety-driven culture.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing, waste handling and environmental equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic issues to minimize downtime
• Inspect, adjust and repair motors, pumps, conveyors, compactors and related systems
• Read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams and schematics for equipment repairs
• Document maintenance activities and parts usage in maintenance records or CMMSFollow strict safety, lockout/tagout and environmental compliance procedures
• Coordinate with operations to schedule maintenance around production and service needs
• Support facility upkeep, including basic welding, fabrication and equipment installation
• Assist with emergency breakdown response and on-call support as needed
• Work collaboratively in a safety-driven, team-based environment
