Job Summary

Warehouse Associates are responsible for performing an array of duties, including receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders, packing, and shipping orders.

Departments / Individual

Job Summary Kitting/Packing Associate

Warehouse Kit/Pack Associates fill customer orders by means of scale or hand count. They complete the process by packing customers’ orders in preparation for shipping and may also perform other duties such as receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking, and shipping orders.

Packing Associate

Warehouse packing associates are responsible for packing orders for shipping via UPS, Fed Ex, or other carriers. They may also receive and process incoming stock, pick, and ship orders.

Shipping Associate

Warehouse shipping associates tender packages through the CLS shipping station to ship Fed Ex, UPS, DHL, or other carriers. They may also be responsible for shipping customer orders LTL, including arranging boxes on a pallet, wrapping the boxes and pallet, writing up a bill of lading, and contacting various LTL carriers to arrange pick‑ups.

Pull / Put‑Away Associate

Warehouse Pull/Put‑Away Associates pull product from various warehouse locations to fulfill customer orders and return product to inventory locations when needed.

Put Wall Associate

Warehouse Put Wall Associates pull customer line‑item parts from specified put wall area bins, organize the parts on a cart, and deliver the cart to the packing associates.

Receiving Associate

Warehouse Receiving Associates unload, unpack, and upload inbound vendor shipments into the company’s system, verifying product or discrepancies and coordinating with buyers or quality departments.

Replenishment Associate

Warehouse Replenishment Associates restock the warehouse pick module with needed inventory for smaller quantity orders by pulling inventory from the bulk stocking area, scanning items into totes, and sending totes to the pick module via conveyor.

Inventory Control

Warehouse Inventory Associates investigate missing inventory, verify each bin in the warehouse on a quarterly basis, justify inventory adjustments, complete work orders, and help investigate shipment count discrepancies for the Quality Department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Fill customer orders as assigned by picking, scale counting, packing, or shipping material.
  • Generate appropriate labels for product identification and/or mark materials with identifying information.
  • Prepare parcels for shipment in accordance with Heilind and customer specifications to prevent damage, ensure preservation, and accurate identification.
  • Work in a manner that promotes efficient handling and minimizes waste.
  • Participate in Company-sponsored training and process improvement activities.
  • Comply with all Company Policies as defined in the Company’s Warehouse Orientation Packet.
  • Pursue continuous improvement through training and process improvement.
  • Comply with all applicable elements of the Company’s Quality Management System.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Education/Experience
  • High school diploma or General Education Development (GED), or one to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior warehouse experience preferred but not required.
  • Previous warehouse experience a plus.
Skills And Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee).
  • Must be able to report to assigned office location during scheduled in‑office workdays.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to use electronic devices such as barcode scanners for material pulling and material put away.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to perform calculations in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
