Manufacturing Warehouse Manager About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Warehouse Manager to lead warehouse, inventory, shipping, receiving, and distribution operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse activities, ensuring inventory accuracy, maintaining safety and compliance standards, and driving operational excellence across the facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background managing warehouse teams in a manufacturing setting and possess experience with logistics, inventory control, ERP systems, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all daily warehouse and distribution center operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, shipping, and order fulfillment.
  • Manage warehouse personnel, scheduling, workflow assignments, and overall team performance.
  • Develop and implement warehouse procedures, work instructions, and standard operating processes.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound freight activities, including LTL and full truckload shipments.
  • Oversee inventory management programs, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliation efforts.
  • Ensure accurate processing of shipping documentation, inventory transactions, and ERP system updates.
  • Manage Hazmat storage, shipping requirements, and regulatory compliance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
  • Monitor and report on key warehouse performance metrics and operational KPIs.
  • Maintain warehouse organization, stock locations, labeling systems, and material flow processes.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, production, purchasing, and customer service teams to support business objectives.
  • Lead employee onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management activities.
  • Promote a strong culture of workplace safety, accountability, and operational excellence.
  • Ensure facility compliance with company policies, security procedures, and housekeeping standards.
Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of warehouse leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong experience managing receiving, inventory control, shipping and distribution operations.
  • Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and warehouse management processes.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing production and material movement activities.
  • Knowledge of Hazmat handling, shipping regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Forklift certification required.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and employee development skills.
  • Proven ability to improve operational performance and warehouse efficiency.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, 5S, or related operational methodologies preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and spend extended periods walking and standing throughout the facility.
  • Flexibility to work occasional Saturdays and travel as needed.
