Gen Met Corp. is a value-added contract metal fabricator in Mequon, WI with a strong commitment to employee growth, customer satisfaction, and community engagement. We are searching for a Director of Sales who will have a key role in achieving long-term revenue and profit growth by understanding and pursuing customer/market needs and having a technical understanding of current (and evolving) fabrication capabilities.
The Director of Sales works closely with Customer Service, Estimating, Engineering, and Operations to support our customers’ requests. He/she models and supports our company culture and values. He/she passionately supports manufacturing “COOL” products, employee development and STEM education within Gen Met and our community. - Lead, model, and promote a culture of honesty, integrity, teamwork, responsibility, adaptability, and continuous learning and improvement with the highest ethics.
- Understand customer needs and drive profitable revenue growth through broad, diverse commercial markets.
- Provide forecasts, recommend and ensure consistency in pricing strategies and negotiate to win-win outcomes
- Identify customer opportunities and pursue: awareness, interest, consideration, preference, purchase, support, loyalty and advocacy.
- Engage and grow customer interaction with Gen Met through social media, internet, trade shows, targeted email, visits and anywhere customer decision makers and influencers (i.e. Buyers, Senior Leaders) spend their time/attention. Thoughtfully use technology/innovation.
- Manage and communicate progress through a Customer Relationship Module or related tool, manage related metrics
- Manage metrics for sales, new business, estimating volume, quote wins, turnaround time and part, project, and customer profit.
- Read and analyze blueprints, customer specifications, and other documents to understand needs and manage success
- Ensure customers’ intellectual property is protected at all times.
- Support Customer Service, Estimating, Engineering and Operations by sharing needs, identifying opportunities, brainstorming fabrication processes, pursuing new capabilities and ensuring external and internal communication.
