- Prepare for and deliver instruction and perform teaching‑related activities.
- Manage the classroom/laboratory.
- Develop curriculum and monitor and revise as appropriate to maintain course effectiveness; assist in program evaluation.
- Manage equipment, supplies and materials.
- Assess student performance and advise students on academic issues.
- Collaborate with advisory committee in program area.
- Attend departmental and institutional meetings.
- Promote the education/training program, participate in efforts to recruit and retain students, and participate in efforts to market MATC.
- Support student organizations and activities.
- Develop relationships with business and industry.
- Complete program evaluation and follow‑up.
- Maintain certification, continue professional development and stay current in field.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Educational requirements: Must have ONE of the following:
• Master’s degree in Mathematics or Math Education,
OR
• Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate level credits in Mathematics, Math Education, or a subfield
* If teaching MATH 211, 231, 232, 233, or 234, must have 8 credits in calculus, as well as 9 graduate credits in mathematics.
Preferred qualifications in addition to the minimums listed above:
- Verifiable occupational work experience in a field other than education.
- Experience in teaching and/or developing curriculum in a variety of classroom environments including in‑person and online. Must be able to develop and maintain curriculum currency.
- Bilingual Spanish/English fluency (must be able to read, write and speak fluently in both languages).

Essential Supportive Technology:
- Experience with or willingness to learn the following supportive technologies:
- Online information management systems – e.g. Self Service or other online information management systems used for student advising, student programs, grading, class schedules and rosters
- Blackboard Ultra – experience with Blackboard Ultra or other web‑based course‑management systems
- Technology‑based instruction – experience with technology‑based instructional delivery systems including SMART symposium, interactive touch screen monitors, LCD projectors, DVD players and/or other classroom technology
- Emerging technologies – experience with social networking applications
Start Date: This position supports the General Education Pathway and is available to start during the spring semester.
Hours: This is a part‑time faculty pool position. Assignments are temporary and not guaranteed; they will depend entirely on course availability and department needs each semester. All work must be performed in the state of Wisconsin; we do not have virtual opportunities for out‑of‑state residents. Candidates must have flexibility to teach assignments in any combination of the following:
