Adjunct Faculty: Mathematics

Position Summary

Concordia University invites applicants for Adjunct Faculty positions in Mathematics at the CUW Mequon, WI campus. This is a part-time position teaching one or more sections of either introductory statistics or college algebra. The successful candidate should have a masters in mathematics, mathematics education, statistics, or other related field.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct class sessions
• Prepare and administer quizzes and exams
• Grade students' work, and record midterm and final course grades
• All other duties as assigned

Education and Qualifications

• Master's degree in math, math education, statistics, or in a related field is required
• Must possess effective interpersonal skills - able to work with diverse, student populations in close, academic, and professional working relationships
• Demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced, change-oriented, and collaborative environment
• Evidence of teaching college level courses preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Exhibits a willingness and ability to work with diverse individuals and organizations
• Demonstrates effective leadership, organizational skills, and is a self-starter
• Familiar with the university campus life
• Able to deal with interruptions and work in a fast-paced environment
• Able to present a Christian and professional manner
• Candidates should possess strong written and oral communications skills
• All candidates should possess an ability to meet deadlines
