Infrastructure Engineer

Answerport, a Management and Technology consulting firm located in Southeastern Wisconsin is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer Consultant to join their team to continue to grow and support expanding project pipeline. The Infrastructure Engineer Consultant will implement and support collaboration, network, server, and security solutions for Answerport's clients.

Job Functions:

• Consulting on both project and interim role assignments.
• Design, implementation and support of infrastructure projects that include a wide range of tasks such as network, server, security, and collaboration systems as required to meet client's project requirements for function, performance and high availability.
• Execute assigned tasks as part of an overall project work plan to meet deadlines and quality requirements.
• Understand and meet project budget expectations for time to execute tasks.
• Prepare thorough system documentation as tasks are completed.
• Work closely and professionally with client and consulting teams to promote teamwork, accountability, and appropriate training/transition.
• Provide technical consulting on simple to complex IT infrastructure initiatives.
• Act to resolve technical issues related to projects or client's infrastructure.
• Keep current on infrastructure technology through computer-based training, team collaboration, and publications on an ongoing basis.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills

• Five to seven or more years of relevant infrastructure engineer experience that includes a substantial amount of both project and support work.

• Strong knowledge/skill and project experience with a significant number of the following infrastructure technology areas:

• Server Virtualization in VMWare and Azure (Expert)
• Microsoft Active Directory & Azure

• Microsoft 365 Services Setup - Email, Teams, SharePoint (Strong)
• Microsoft 365 Email Migrations - account setup, email moves, distribution list setups (Bit Titan)
• Microsoft 365 Data Migrations - One Drive/Teams/SharePoint Migrations (Sharegate)
• Microsoft Windows Servers - design, build, administer (Strong)
• Server/Storage Backup Products / Services - Veeam (Strong)
• Network configuration - Meraki Firewalls, Switches, Wireless (Strong)
• Remote Access configuration - Cisco SSLVPN, Azure
  
  MFA, Microsoft MDM
• Software Patching and Deployment Products - Ninja One, InTune (Strong)
• Security Systems - Event correlation, endpoint protection, content filtering, etc.
• Monitoring and Management Products - patch management, RMM for systems
• Application Virtualization - RDS published desktops and applications

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a fast-paced consulting or MSP environment
• Strong issue identification and resolution skills.
• Solid interpersonal skills in communications with clients, vendors, and team members.

• Ability to travel as project tasks require for infrastructure equipment setup and PC/Email migration support.
• Experience with cloud technologies required, specifically Azure servers and Microsoft 365 configuration.
• Core understanding of information security best practices and networking fundamentals.
• Microsoft
  365, Azure, and Cisco Certifications are a plus.
• Be able to work after hours for business impacting changes.
• Must be able to work in our Mequon, WI office three days per week.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
