We’re hiring a Machinist to support our Engineering team in the design, development, and improvement of precision tools and components. In this role, you’ll build, repair, and modify tools, fixtures, gauges, and prototype parts that directly support machining and production processes. You’ll work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to troubleshoot issues, improve designs, and ensure high-quality, safe, and efficient operations.
WhatYou’ll Do
Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:
- Build and modify precision tools, fixtures, gauges, and prototype parts
- Set up, program, and operate CNC mills and lathes
- Read and interpret CAD drawings, GD&T, and specifications
- Perform precision machining, fitting, and assembly
- Troubleshoot tooling and machining issues
- Collaborate with engineering on design and process improvements
- Perform preventative maintenance on tool room equipment
- Meet quality, safety, and production standards
- Maintain accurate documentation and records
We’re looking for someone who is:
- High school diploma or GED; technical training or apprenticeship preferred
- 3–5+ years of machinist or tool & die experience in manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of machining practices, materials, and heat treating
- Proficient in GD&T and technical drawing interpretation
- Skilled with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators, CMM)
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and a safety-first mindset
- Experience with CAD/CAM software (Solid Works, Mastercam) a plus
- Background in high-volume or tight-tolerance manufacturing a plus
