Position Summary:
The Production Coordinator prints and distributes production/work orders, maintains accurate inventory records, and supports shop floor operations to ensure materials and documentation are available for uninterrupted production.
- Print, collate, and distribute daily work orders, job travelers, labels, and packing slips to the shop floor.
- Maintain and update electronic and paperwork records in the ERP system.
- Perform cycle counts, bin replenishment, and basic inventory reconciliation; investigate and report discrepancies.
- Receive and inspect incoming materials against purchase orders, tag and stock parts in designated locations.
- Prepare materials kitting for jobs and communicate shortages to purchasing/production planners.
- Update inventory transactions (receipts, issues, transfers) in the ERP system in a timely manner.
- Support material staging and basic shop housekeeping to keep inventory areas organized (5S practices).
- Coordinate with production supervisors, purchasing, and shipping to prioritize urgent work orders and material needs.
- Generate simple inventory and work order reports (daily/weekly) for supervisors.
- Assist with barcode labeling, scanning, and small system data-entry tasks.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ year experience in manufacturing support, inventory control, or clerical role in a production environment.
- Comfortable using ERP systems, basic Windows applications (Excel, Outlook).
- Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly with shop floor staff and office teams.
- Experience with CAD (Solid Works).
