What You Will Do:

Join Hayes Performance Systems as our 2nd Shift Production Supervisor and lead daily operations across a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

In this role, you'll be responsible for the safety, quality, productivity, and performance of your shift. You'll lead a team of hourly employees, address challenges as they arise, and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure production goals are met.

This is a hands‑on leadership position that requires a strong presence on the production floor, sound decision‑making, and the ability to balance people leadership with operational execution.

How You Will Do It:
  • Lead and support hourly employees across daily production operations
  • Hold employees accountable to safety, attendance, quality, and performance expectations
  • Monitor production performance and address issues impacting safety, quality, delivery, or productivity
  • Respond to employee concerns, operational challenges, and production issues in real time
  • Coach, develop, and provide performance feedback to team members
  • Coordinate staffing, schedules, and resources to support production requirements
  • Partner with Safety, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and other departments to resolve issues and improve performance
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that reduce waste and improve operational efficiency
  • Maintain accurate production documentation and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Support employee development, succession planning, and team engagement initiatives
What We Look For:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related field preferred
  • 5–7+ years of manufacturing leadership or supervisory experience
  • Experience leading teams in a production‑driven manufacturing environment
  • Strong ability to manage competing priorities and make decisions in a fast‑paced setting
  • Proven experience addressing employee performance, attendance, and accountability issues
  • Ability to build credibility with employees while maintaining consistent expectations
  • Strong communication, problem‑solving, and conflict‑resolution skills
  • Experience working within a union manufacturing environment preferred
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and operational metrics
  • Bonus:
    • CPI, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma certification
    • Experience leading culture, engagement, or operational improvement initiatives
