Position Details

We have an immediate hiring need for a full‑time manufacturing Assembler Level
3. This is a 1st Shift role (M‑F, 6:00AM – 2:00PM), in Dept
459 – Multi Drive, with a starting rate of $21.85 per hour.

Job Summary

Performs a wide variety of electronic or electro‑mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub‑assemblies. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units. Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions

This position performs repetitive assembly of pre‑engineered electro‑mechanical equipment control modules. Working from hard copy and electronic assembly documentation and instructions, it follows established sequencing of hardware and wiring installations using predefined tools and fixtures. It provides manufacturing order support, including engraving, labels and reports, handles heavy gauge electrical wiring and plumbing routing and assembly in repetitive product manufacturing. It evaluates unique assembly and disassembly requirements and prepares an approach based upon safe work practices, cleans modules, restores painted surfaces and performs general preparation prior to product shipment.

The position takes direction from manufacturing team leads in assigned workstations, follows instructions provided by a Tester to perform rework of product test anomalies and performs general preparation prior to product shipment. The working environment is standardized assembly with paced productivity requirements and assessing products returned from customers for service and planning restoration of control modules. It operates under continuous leadership in a production environment and is held to the highest standards in safety, quality, delivery, productivity, procedures, policies and metrics.

Overtime is an essential function of this position, typically requiring 20 hours of overtime per week, though actual hours may vary.

Skills

Read, follow, and execute tasks per sequence defined by electronic or hard‑copy drawings and work instructions. Follow standardized methods to accomplish an established set of assembly tasks. Assemble components and sub‑assemblies in an assembly line fashion per specific defined process and within a defined time frame. Use tools including Component Lead Cutters and Crimpers, Forming and Insertion Press Fixtures, Wire Strippers, Wire Luggers, Hand Tools, Fully Automated Test Systems, Torque Drivers, Lifting Fixtures and Hoist & Crane.

Comfortable working from elevated surfaces. Operate independently and productively with minimum supervision. Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Demonstrate understanding of and ability to perform reading of electrical schematics, standard component placements, and assembly from workmanship standards and guidelines. Use logical analysis and problem‑solving techniques. Work from established product bill of materials, wiring schematics and layout drawings of products currently manufactured and previously manufactured products from a variety of Manufacturing Operations facilities.

Basic computer literacy. Basic ability to read, write and speak English.

Minimum Qualifications
  • A minimum of a High School Diploma/GED or 2 years of verified related experience.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
