Registered Nurse
Job Summary:
A registered nurse delivers general nursing care and procedures in the clinic setting. Performs medical acts delegated by physicians or advanced practice clinicians. Supervises and directs delegated nursing acts to LPN’s and MA’s. Registered nurses will also perform clerical, laboratory and other duties as requested by administrative leadership, physicians and advanced practice clinicians. This full time opportunity reports to the Clinic Supervisor /Regional Director of Clinic Operations, and is located in Mequon, WI.
- Monday - Friday
- 8:30am-5pm
- Demonstrate current knowledge and skill in nursing practice to ensure safe and effective care for the patient population.
- Provide treatment and determine plan of care under provider supervision.
- Able to assess patients over the phone to determine plans of care.
- Assist or perform specialty specific procedures in an outpatient setting.
- Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, employees, physicians and the public to promote a professional health care environment.
- Assist in managing a physician’s schedule according to their preferences
- Stays current on electronic health records (EHR) changes and ensures appropriate and effective documentation in patient records.
- Authorizes refills safely, efficiently, accurately and in a timely manner according to approved protocols.
- Obtain prior authorizations for medications, radiology, or outpatient services as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse.
- Current CPR licensing required.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and be flexible in learning and handling a variety of duties.
- Strong data entry skills and ability to work with computer applications
- Organized with a strong attention to detail in a fast paced environment
- Strong and comfortable communicating with patients, peers, and physicians
- Demonstrated ability to work well both independently and with co-workers in a team
- Demonstrated ability to work with confidential information.
