Job Overview
The customer service specialist will be based primarily at Store #3165, 6027 W. Mequon Road, Mequon, WI 53092, with occasional assignments at Store #3058 (N85 W16063 Appleton Avenue, Menomonee Falls, WI 53051) and Store #3415 (316 West Brown Deer Road, Bayside, WI 53217). This is a part‑time position offering a starting pay of $17.85 per hour (or based on relevant experience).
The role is critical to the success of our retail stores, serving wholesale and retail customers and ensuring sales goals are consistently met.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
- Assist customers in person and over the phone by determining needs and presenting appropriate products and services.
- Build productive trust relationships with wholesale and retail customers.
- Process sales transactions accurately in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Follow and achieve sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
- Maintain precise work order files and formulas.
- Pull appropriate products from the sales floor or warehouse.
- Tint and mix products, as needed, to customer specifications.
- Stock shelves and set up displays.
- Clean store equipment.
- Load/unload delivery trucks and assist in deliveries as needed.
- Maintain in‑stock and presentable condition of assigned areas.
- Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options.
- Comply with inventory control procedures.
- Suggest ways to improve sales.
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
- Must possess a valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion.
- Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends.
- If internal to Sherwin‑Williams, must have at least a “meets expectations” rating on the most recent performance appraisal.
- If internal to Sherwin‑Williams, must have completed all required HR Cloud eLearning courses.
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least one year of experience in a delivery, retail, or customer service position.
- Experience selling paint and paint‑related products.
- Experience operating tinting and mixing equipment.
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language.
- Spanish language proficiency.
