The Service Technician will perform installation and maintenance of DC power systems in telecom, UPS, and utility markets.

Duties include:

• Installing batteries, rectifier battery plants, ironwork, and cable racks according to Zone 4 requirements.
• Upgrading and replacing DC power plants, primary and secondary distribution equipment (PBDs, BDFBs, BDCBBs), inverters, and converters.
• Running power cable, lug crimping, lacing, and taking voltage and gravity readings.
• Performing AC power work from 120 V single‑phase to 480 V three‑phase.
• Maintaining open and positive communication with employees, departments, and customers.
• Traveling on a regular basis, including overnight trips, mostly during the week.

• Strength to lift a 50 lb. object without assistance, and items up to 150 lb. with assistance; slide up to 200 lb.
• Strength and dexterity to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, crouch, or twist as needed.
• Ability to use hand and power tools, climb cages, ladders, gantries, and catwalks.
• This is a safety‑sensitive position.

• Understanding of lead‑acid battery operation.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and interpreting English.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and technical manuals.
• Strong writing, general math, mechanical, and communication skills.
• Acceptable driving record; pass annual drug tests and a background check.

$23.50 – $31.00 per hour, based on experience.

DOT Medical Qualification Card required.

1st shift: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM (varies with travel and customer requirements; night work, overtime, and occasional weekends may be required).

Travel to different locations, including remote, primitive, and outdoor sites.
