One of our direct client is urgently looking for ARES Model Based Design developer @
Mequon, WI

Title:

ARES Model Based Design developer

Location:

Mequon, WI

Project that you are going to take part in is focused on adopting existing Motion Control Business products to meet Robotics safety and performance requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
  • Proven evidence of Model-based design using Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow
  • Familiarity with PLC programming using Ladder logic language
  • Good knowledge of English
Desired

Qualifications:
  • Fast-learning and proactive attitude
  • Familiarity with Simulink Test and Requirements tool usage
  • Proven familiarity with Functional Safety Development processes
  • Familiarity with robotics
Technologies used:
  • Language(Standard): C(99), C++ (03), Python 2.7 in build system, Matlab/Simulink for Model-Based-Design
  • Home grown build system, extended by CMake integration in this project
  • Home grown Python test infrastructure, extended by Unity Test Framework and FFF Mocking Framework in this project
  • CI/CD based on Team City
  • Code compliant with Misra 2012 rules.
  • Firmware build must meet expectations of IEC 61508 Functional Safety standard.
  • Stories and bugs are tracked in Jira, requirements are tracked in Jama, processes documented in Confluence
Challenges:
  • You will be part of a team that has to refactor existing Functional Safety application in order to port it to new hardware platform to meet new performance expectations.
  • You will be asked to work in close cooperation with hardware team on new hardware platform bring-up and tests.
  • You will take part in Functional Safety development process that is currently being refreshed for better usage of tools. Any optimization ideas and suggestions will be appreciated.
