Certified Accountant

Next Gen Home Loans & Legacy Realty Group are growing fast and we’re looking for a certified accounting professional who wants to help build something meaningful.

We are a rapidly scaling mortgage and real estate organization serving families across California, with a strong focus on operational excellence, leadership development, and long-term growth.

This is a full-time, in-person role based in one of our California offices.

We are seeking a Certified Accountant (CPA preferred) who is detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive someone who doesn’t just record numbers, but understands what they mean.

The ideal candidate is:

• Organized and process-driven
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Experienced in real estate and/or mortgage accounting (preferred)
• Able to collaborate closely with leadership
• High integrity and strong ownership mindset

• Manage daily accounting operations (AP/AR, reconciliations, journal entries)
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Monitor payroll and commission accounting
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
• Coordinate with external CPA and tax advisors
• Improve internal controls and accounting processes
• Support leadership with financial reporting and insights

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA license (preferred) or strong accounting certification
• 3+ years of accounting experience (mortgage/real estate preferred)
• Strong knowledge of GAAP
• Proficiency in accounting software (Quick Books, Sage, etc.)
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong communication and organizational skills
