Join Our Team as a Locum - Physician - OB Hospitalist in Merced, CA

In this position, you will oversee OB triage, deliveries, emergency gynecology cases, and consults, with an average of 1-4 deliveries per shift. The facility features a Level II NICU and utilizes EPIC EMR for seamless documentation. Your expertise will ensure safe, effective care during crucial moments for mothers and newborns.

Key Skills and

Qualifications:

• Valid medical license and current OB/GYN certification
• Proven experience managing obstetric cases, including deliveries and triage
• Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a hospital team
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR systems

Nice to Have

Skills:

• Experience working in Level II NICU settings
• Previous locum or hospitalist experience
• BLS/ACLs certification
• Flexibility to adapt to varied shifts and schedules

Preferred

Education and Experience:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
• At least 2 years of obstetrics and gynecology practice post-residency
• Prior experience in a hospital-based setting

Other Requirements:

• Willingness to travel and work varied hours as needed
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS
• Compliance with all hospital and state licensing requirements
