About the Position
Join Our Team as a Locum - Physician - OB Hospitalist in Merced, CA
Are you a dedicated OB Hospitalist looking for a flexible, rewarding opportunity in Merced? We are seeking highly skilled physicians to provide exceptional obstetric care in a dynamic hospital setting. Required Skills:
Valid medical license and board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology
Proven experience in OB hospitalist duties, including deliveries, OB triage, and emergency gynecological care
Strong clinical skills in managing labor and delivery, postpartum care, and OB emergencies
Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Excellent communication and decision-making skills
Nice to Have
Skills:
Experience with NICU Level II cases
Familiarity with high-volume delivery settings
Previous locum or temporary physician experience
Additional certifications such as Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
Preferred
Education and Experience:
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
Minimum of 2 years of hospital-based OB practice
Prior experience in a Level II NICU environment is advantageous
Other Requirements:
Prior authorization for temporary licensure or ability to obtain applicable licenses promptly
Flexibility to cover shifts in a variety of schedules, including weekends and holidays
Willingness to collaborate with hospital staff and emergency services
This position offers an hourly pay rate of $234.00, with weekly pay via direct deposit.
