The Merced County Office of Education assists Merced County’s 20 school districts through support and oversight of curriculum and instruction, alternative education, business services, early education, technology, migrant education, special education, and teacher credentialing. MCOE is led by the elected Merced County Superintendent of Schools and governed by the Merced County Board of Education. While serving as a focal point to facilitate local school/government/community partnerships, MCOE is responsible for the fiscal oversight of each school district in Merced County, hears appeals for student expulsion hearings and interdistrict transfers and operates Green Meadows Outdoor School.
Job SummaryUnder the direction and supervision of the Migrant Coordinator, implements a supplemental intervention program for K-12. Instructs individuals or small group of students focusing on English Language Development, Reading, English, Language Arts, Math, and other subjects as needed. Teaches a non-traditional after school, and/or weekend schedule. This position is not included in the certificated bargaining unit.
Requirements / QualificationsMultiple Subject, Math or English California Teaching Credential;
Valid Certificate of Clearance from the CCTC;
Proof of EL Authorization; CBEST and CSET scores;
Official College Transcripts; CA Driver's License; DMV printout;
Proof of valid CA Driver's License and minimum liability insurance required by law.
