The School of Engineering anticipates hiring full and/or part‑time lecturer positions to teach the following courses for Academic Year :
- SPARK 010 - Cornerstone Engineering Design (formerly Inclusive Innovation)
- ENGR 096 - Human Centered Research and Design Engineering
- Other courses as needed

In addition to teaching the course(s), the instructor is responsible for creating a syllabus, holding weekly office hours (minimum 2 hours/week), and grading examinations and/or papers. The instructor may also be required to hold discussion sections or supervise a graduate student teaching assistant or reader.
This is a limited‑term appointment which falls under the purview of the agreement for the Lecturers Unit between University of California and the American Federation of Teachers. Terms and conditions of employment are subject to UC policy and appropriate collective bargaining agreement. See the following URL for additional information.
Appointments for AY and/or Fall 2026 semester are reviewed around April, and for Spring 2027 semester are reviewed around October. Applications will be reviewed on a continuous basis and this job posting will remain open until February 2027 to accommodate upcoming course needs and new applicants.
Basic qualificationsAdvanced degree in a relevant area or related field and experience teaching at the college or university level are required. Must be able to provide a record of excellence in teaching that demonstrates broad experience working with students of different abilities, ethnic backgrounds, and educational attainment.
