Summer 2026 (May 2026), AY 2026/27 (October 2026), (January 2027) - Position duration: 4-6 week assignment
The UC Merced Center for Educational Partnerships provides student, school, and parent‑centered services to expand post‑secondary choices for graduates. The Center anticipates reappointing and hiring part‑time Teacher – Special Programs positions to teach in the following Programs during Summer 2026 and AY 2026‑2027:
- UC Scholars
- Talent Search
- Upward Bound
- Gateway Scholars
- Upward Bound Math & Science
- Early Academic Outreach Program (EAOP)
- Bridging the Gap in Mathematics
- Other programs as determined
This is a limited‑term appointment under the UC–AFT Lecturers Unit agreement. Terms and conditions of employment are subject to UC policy and the appropriate collective bargaining agreement.
QualificationsBasic qualifications
Applicants must have either a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent international degree at the time of hire.
Preferred qualifications
Master’s Degree in English and/or Mathematics with a teaching credential preferred, in addition to teaching experience at the K‑12 level(s).
