Position Overview
Part‑Time Instructor, Business, Entrepreneurship, & Leadership
Salary range: credit‑bearing courses $1,500–5,000 per section; non‑credit courses 10–30% of enrollment fee per enrollment.
Anticipated start:
January 2026.
Position duration:
Intermittent – January 2026 through December 2026.

UC Merced Professional & Continuing Education seeks experienced and qualified instructors to teach courses in Business, Entrepreneurship, & Leadership. Courses may be offered as academic credit or non‑credit options. Instructors will create syllabi, deliver instruction, hold weekly office hours (2 hours per week), and grade examinations or papers.

- Develop comprehensive course syllabi and learning materials.
- Deliver engaging instruction in fully online, hybrid, or in‑person formats.
- Hold weekly office hours (two hours per week) for student support.
- Assess and grade examinations, papers, and projects.
- Maintain timely communication with program staff and students.
- Master’s degree in a relevant field (business, entrepreneurship, leadership, or related areas). Acceptable degrees include MBA, Master of Science, Master of Professional Studies, etc.
- Minimum of five years of professional experience in the field, or publication of research in a closely related area.
- Demonstrated theoretical and practical knowledge in the designated topic area.
- Experience teaching or providing professional development in related fields.
