Position title: Teaching Fellow
Salary range: See Table 18 for the salary range for this position. Salary is based on an annual full-time salary of $83,941. Teaching Fellows will not be appointed for more than 50% time during the Fall & Spring semesters.
Percent time: 25% - 50% or up to 100% in summer session only
Anticipated start:
- Summer 2026 – May 17, 2026
- Fall 2026 – August 15, 2026
- Spring 2027 – January 1, 2027
Position duration: Duration may be up to one semester or a summer term.
Position descriptionThe School of Engineering anticipates hiring Teaching Fellows for lower- and upper-division courses for Academic Year , including Summer Session 2026, in the following disciplines:
- Materials Science and Engineering
- Engineering Fundamentals (courses may include Introduction to Materials, Statics and Dynamics, Circuit Theory, Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Strength of Materials, Spatial Analysis, Information Systems, etc.)
Under supervision of a faculty member, the Teaching Fellow will be responsible for leading instruction of a course. Additional duties may include grading, leading discussion sections when appropriate, and holding office hours.
