Position Overview
Reader for Economics and Business Management courses during Summer Session A 2026 at the School of Social Sciences, Humanities and Arts.
Responsibilities- Marking and grading problem sets, midterm exams, and final exams according to a rubric.
- Assisting with marking of periodic in‑class exercises.
- Providing coursework assistance to students during class periods as directed by the instructor.
- Current student in good standing at the University with a minimum 3.0 GPA in relevant coursework and a B or better in the course or related course.
- Graduate students are preferred; qualified undergraduate or professional readers may be considered on a hourly basis when graduate students are unavailable.
- Must possess valid U.S. work authorization. UC Merced does not sponsor new H‑1B visas for individuals residing outside the United States.
