The University of California, Merced is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position.

Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience. The salary or hourly range the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is $70,320.80 - $.

This position is based in the office four days a week, with one remote workday each week.

Under the direction of the Director of Strategic Initiatives and in alignment with the Dean's overall goals for the unit, the Financial Services Analyst has primary responsibility for the day-to-day financial management, analysis and reporting of all financial activities, reconciliation of revenue and expense accounts, procurement and all associated financial processes within the Division of Professional & Continuing Education (PACE), a self-support unit that reports up to UC Merced's Academic Affairs Division.

The Financial Services Analyst will provide financial management, including reconciliation of general ledgers, preparation of monthly budget reports, and ensure compliance with UC Policies and procedures for a complex self-supporting, revenue-generating unit.

The Financial Services Analyst will be responsible for managing complex revenue streams that require continual analysis and will be tasked with creating the official financial reports and dashboards for internal and external UC constituencies (PACE, Academic Affairs, UC Office of the President, Sponsored Projects Office, Granting Agencies, etc.). Financial reporting, including actual, budgeted, and projected revenue and expenses, will be prepared for the PACE Dean and Directors on a quarterly and annual basis, flagging concerns and making recommendations for remediation as needed.

The Financial Services Analyst will prepare and present the annual budget to the Dean and Directors. The position will work with the Dean and Directors to prepare and update the Unit's 3-year strategic financial plan.
