Employees who commute over 20 miles one way may receive a monthly stipend: * $200 per month for full‑time staff * $100 per month for part‑time staff
What you bring:
* Master's degree in social work, marriage & family therapy, or psychology from an accredited college or university required.
* One (1) year direct service experience in a mental health setting required (student internship and/or practicum time may be substituted).
* Experience in an inpatient therapy setting preferred.
* Mental Health Specialist II:
Licensed as AMFT, ACSW, or APCC required.
* Mental Health Specialist III:
Licensed as LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC required. How you will make a difference
* Prepares a comprehensive written psychosocial evaluation and assessment on assigned clients, in addition to an intake note, daily progress notes, summary notes (as may be required) and a discharge summary.
* Responsible for assessing client's readiness for admission and coordination planning with treatment team, the client's case managers, and transferring facilities
* Responsible for assessing client's readiness for discharge and coordination planning with treatment team; working with case managers to effect appropriate referrals for placement, case management and aftercare services; coordinates benefits (Medi-Cal) with Business Office personnel; and maintains knowledge of community resources.
* Provides individual group therapy to clients on a weekly basis and as needed based on the needs of the clients
* Actively participates in treatment team meetings and is responsible for working with other disciplines to develop a coordinated treatment plan for assigned clients.
* Leads or co-leads therapeutic groups. Division/Program Overview:
* 24/7 inpatient voluntary program
* 16-bed facility for adults (ages 18-59)
* Rehabilitation/recovery services, including substance use rehabilitation services
* Pre-vocational or vocational counseling
