Travel Occupational Therapist

Job Summary

TNAA Total Med Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a 13‑week assignment in Merced, California. The position requires 40 hours per week, 10‑hour days, and is a travel role.

As an OT, you will be responsible for the evaluation and development of a plan of care for patients needing to improve, regain, and develop skills needed for daily life. You will work with disabled, ill, or injured patients in an acute care setting.

• Review patients' medical history, ask questions, and observe them performing tasks.
• Evaluate a patient's condition and needs.
• Develop a treatment plan, identifying goals and activities to help the patient work toward those goals.
• Help people with various disabilities perform different tasks.
• Assess a patient's home or workplace and identify potential improvements based on health needs.
• Educate a patient's family and employer about accommodation and care.
• Recommend special equipment and instruct patients on its use.
• Assess and record patient activities and progress for evaluations, billing, and reporting to physicians and other providers.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.

Must have 6 months of experience; new graduates are encouraged to apply. Must hold BLS and NBCOT‑OTR National Certification with state‑specific licensing. Occupational Therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods and bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. OTs must have sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

• BLS, NBCOT (OTR), 2 years (additional certifications may be required before assignment).

Pay package is based on 10‑hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
