Travel Acute Care Physical Therapist

Overview

TNAA Total Med Allied is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a travel job in Merced, California.

Duration: 13 weeks. 40 hours per week. 8 hour days.

Employment Type:

Travel.

• Evaluate, develop, and execute a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting.
• Supervise PTAs and support staff (therapy technicians).
• Bill within the respective setting following guidelines.
• Understand and comply with the PT board’s rules and regulations and state regulations.
• Interface with medical center personnel and physicians to ensure a team‑focused plan of care.
• Understand adaptive equipment.
• Create and modify a plan of care based on patient’s condition.
• Use medical center computer systems in the performance of daily tasks.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.

• Minimum 6 months of experience; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• 2 years of experience preferred; 6 months acceptable for exceptional candidates.
• Baseline BLS and state‑specific licensing.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods and to bend, lean or stoop without difficulty.
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
• Must be prepared to work at least 8 hour shifts, 40 hours per week.
