Merced Crisis Residential Unit (Adult Inpatient Program)

Compensation

$32.00 - $34.00 per hour

Location

Merced, CA

Hours & Shift

Per Diem coverage for 12‑hour AM and/or NOC shifts (06:00–18:30 / 18:00–06:30). Coverage is as needed, based on facility needs and candidate availability. NOC shift includes a $2 differential.

What you bring (Qualifications)
  • High School diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED, HiSET) required.
  • Associate degree in nursing or social science field preferred.
  • One (1) year nursing experience required, preferably treating mentally ill in an inpatient setting. Clinical nursing school rotations may substitute for part of experience.
  • One (1) year medication administration experience preferred.
  • Valid California LVN or LPT license required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care and supervise same provided by all nursing staff on the shift worked.
  • Observe, document and report visually and audibly the physical or mental condition to the Program Manager and attending physician or nurse practitioner.
  • Order, prepare, administer and document medication for clients according to physicians’ or nurse practitioners’ orders.
  • Confirm delivery of all ordered medication from pharmacy on shift worked.
  • Write a weekly summary on clients as assigned.
  • Maintain nursing documentation in the medical record for shift worked.
  • Prepare, present and coordinate or supervise a verbal or written change‑of‑shift report.

24/7 inpatient voluntary 16‑bed facility for adults ages 18‑59 offering rehabilitation/recovery services, including substance use rehabilitation services, pre‑vocational or vocational counseling, medication evaluation and support services.
