Per Diem Psych LVN / LPT Division/Program:
Merced Crisis Residential Unit (Adult Inpatient Program) Starting Compensation: 32.00 - 34.00 USD Per Hour Working
Location:
Merced, CA Working Hours/Shift: Per Diem coverage needed for 12‑hour AM and/or NOC shifts (06:00-18:30 / 18:00-06:30). Coverage is as needed, based on facility needs and the candidate's availability. NOC shift includes a $2 differential. Why Join Our Team?

What you bring:
* High School diploma or equivalent (e.g. GED, HiSET, etc.) required
* Associate degree in nursing or social science field preferred.
* One (1) year nursing experience required, preferably treating the mentally ill in an inpatient setting. (Clinical nursing school rotations may be substituted for a portion of work experience.)
* One (1) year medication administration experience preferred.
* Valid California LVN or LPT license required. How you will make a difference
* Provides direct nursing care and supervises same provided by all nursing staff on the shift worked.
* Visually and audibly observes, documents in writing, and reports orally or in writing the physical or mental condition to the Program Manager and the attending physician or nurse practitioner.
* Orders, prepares, administers, and documents the administration of medication for clients according to physicians' or nurse practitioners' orders. Confirms delivery of all ordered medication from pharmacy on shift worked.
* Responsible for writing a weekly summary on clients as assigned.
* Monitors and maintains appropriate nursing documentation in the medical record for shift worked.
* Prepares, presents, and coordinates or supervises a verbal or written change of shift report. Division/Program Overview:
* 24/7 inpatient voluntary program
* 16-bed facility for adults (ages 18-59)
* Rehabilitation/recovery services, including substance use rehabilitation services
* Pre-vocational or vocational counseling
