Weekend Wound Nurse (LVN) – Saturday & Sunday

Job Summary
Golden Merced Care Center in Merced, California is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) – Weekend Wound Nurse to join our care team. This position will focus on providing specialized wound care services while supporting overall resident health and well-being. This role is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday shifts only.

Essential Functions:

• Provides wound care treatments in accordance with care plans and physician orders
• Documents wound assessments, progress, and treatments accurately
• Collaborates with nursing staff and physicians to ensure effective wound management
• Supervises nursing care provided to residents during assigned shifts
• Complies with state and Federal Regulations
• Observes changes in resident status and communicates them appropriately
• Demonstrates knowledge of and adheres to procedures for safety and emergency protocols

Education, Licensure, & Experience Requirements:

• Must possess a current LVN license in good standing in California
• Previous wound care experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in a healthcare setting
• Training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices a plus
