Multi-Purpose Clerk – Grocery (Night Crew)

The Multi-Purpose Clerk – Night Crew is responsible for stock, inventory, and maintenance operations on an overnight shift. The role includes stocking grocery store shelves, pricing items, offloading shipments, unpacking and rotating products, writing orders, checking freshness and quality codes, ensuring tag integrity, reporting safety risks, maintaining temperature control for cases and coolers, checking cash registers, sweeping and mopping the sales floor, and operating the check stand.

• Receive, stock, display, price, and face product.
• Break down loads, including unwrapping, rotating, and packing boxes.
• Write orders and ensure item-to-tag integrity.
• Report all risks or safety issues to management.
• Ensure proper temperature in cases and coolers.
• Maintain inventory accuracy.
• Perform minimal checks on the cash register.
• Sweep and mop sales floor, front end, back rooms, and refrigerated areas.
• Know location of MSDS binder and information about all materials used during work.
• May operate forklift if authorized and certified.
• May operate commercial baler if authorized to compress cardboard.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Hiring pay range: $17.15 – 26.20

Minimum years of experience:
Three months or any equivalent experience.

Required:

High School or GED and/or equivalent experience/training.

• Availability to work a variety of retail hour shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Availability to work the overnight shift.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds without assistance and may lift up to 85 lbs on occasion.
• Ability to carry up to 80 lbs on occasion.
• Ability to push up to 85 lbs on occasion.
• Ability to pull up to 92 lbs on occasion.
• Requires standing and other physical movements on a frequent basis.
• Ability to work in temperature levels that may fluctuate depending on the specific area of the store, including cold room and freezer units.
• Ability to operate tools inclusive of step stool, carts, register, safety cutter, rolling ladder, food preparation equipment, ovens, warmers, food mixers, meat cutting instruments, various carts including pallet jacks, packaging components and equipment, and cleaning supplies.
