The Multi‑Purpose Clerk may be assigned to one of several departments within the store—including Center Store, Produce, Meat/Seafood, Bakery/Deli, or Janitorial. The role includes promoting sales within the assigned department, answering customer questions, handling special orders, and practicing safe food handling procedures. The Clerk receives, inspects, logs, stocks, rotates, and merchandises products to maintain freshness and department appeal.

• Center Store/Front End – Operate the check‑stand, memorize PLU codes, and perform point‑of‑sale and inventory activities.
• Produce – Receive, inspect, trim, wash, wrap produce; stock, rotate, and maintain freshness.
• Meat/Seafood – Receive, inspect, weigh, wrap, label products; serve customers at the seafood counter; operate slicers and wrappers.
• Bakery/Deli – Prepare, package, and label baked goods and deli items; take special orders; operate ovens, proofers, slicers, and mixers.
• Janitorial – Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the store; operate cleaning equipment.

• Sweep and mop sales floor, front end, back rooms, and refrigerated areas.
• May operate forklift if authorized and certified.
• May operate baler if authorized.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Hiring pay range: $17.15 – $26.20

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work with a sense of urgency and self‑motivation.
• Proactive, enthusiastic, and flexible approach.

High School Diploma (or G.E.D.) or additional job experience.

Six months of related experience.

Must be available to work a variety of required retail hours.

Requires standing and other physical movements on a frequent basis; requires lifting up to 40 lbs. without assistance.
