Position title: Reader Salary range: See Table 18 for the salary range for this position. A reasonable estimate for this position is $21.22 - $22.14 per hour.

The School of Natural Sciences anticipates hiring Readers for Academic Year for the Chemistry & Biochemistry Department.
The Reader will be responsible for grading homework, quizzes and tests as needed. The Reader will work closely with the instructor and/or Teaching Assistants when grading. It is anticipated that readers will work up to a maximum of 18 hours per week.
Interested applicants are required to submit a copy of undergraduate transcripts.
The University of California Readers are represented by the UAW-AFL-CIO .
QualificationsBasic qualifications
The Reader must be an active UC Merced student in good standing and have successfully completed course or related course he/she is appointed to as a reader with at least a B Grade. Readers should have maintained at least a 3.0 grade-point average in their previous academic work.

Candidates must possess valid authorization to work in the United States.
