Part-time After School Care Director
School ProfileSt. Monica Catholic School is a PreK-12 Catholic classical school located on Mercer Island, just east of Seattle, Washington. Our K-12 curriculum model, based on the Educational Plan of St. Jerome, immerses students in the beauty of Western civilization and the Catholic intellectual tradition. Our Early Learning Center hosts a class of students ages 3-4 and another class of students ages 4-5.
The Center aims to help students develop socially, emotionally, cognitively, and spiritually through active play and exploration. We are a parish school and bring students into the sacramental and liturgical life of St. Monica Catholic Church.
St. Monica Catholic School is seeking a part‑time (25 hours per week) After‑School‑Care Director for the start of the school year. The ideal candidate will possess 2 or more years of experience working with students from Pre‑K through 8th grade and have some management or supervisory experience.
Responsibilities- Lead and supervise after-school care staff
- Build positive relationships with families, teachers, and students
- Manage enrollment of the after school care program (runs 3pm-6:00 pm Monday through Friday, Wednesdays 2:00-6:00).
- Plan activities and programming for after-school care
- Manage billing for the after-school care program
- Participate in school-wide recruitment efforts such as open house, marketing, etc.
- Working hours will typically be from 1:30-6:30 pm Monday through Friday
- Additional duties as assigned
- Functioning in classroom space – walking, sitting, standing, reaching
- Must be able to sit for up to two hours looking at a computer monitor, using a keyboard/mouse and typing
- Must be able to stand for up to two hours supervising student
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. on a frequent basis
- Hourly rate of pay based upon education and experience. Compensation ranges from $25-$35/hour.
