Job Description
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Custodian to join our team. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for keeping the premises clean and ready for use for our members and guests.
Responsibilities- Perform sweeping, mopping, dusting, sanitizing, emptying trash, and maintaining the restrooms.
- Set up and break down rooms, as assigned for meetings and classes.
- Clean and maintain outdoor spaces.
- Perform light duty repairs, painting and construction.
- Open and close the building depending on scheduled shifts.
- Report issues to the maintenance manager.
- Have open availability to include nights and weekends when necessary.
- Some relevant work experience.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team, communicating effectively with community center members and colleagues.

- Washington State Pay Range: $19.00/hr to $20.00/hr
- Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including but not limited to skills, relevant experience, and specific work location.
- High school diploma preferred.
- Cleaning experience preferred. Strong analytical skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
- Ability to read, speak, and write a limited number of two- and three-syllable words in English.
- Knowledge of proper cleaning procedures and techniques.
- Familiarity with safety hazards and safe use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to thoroughness.
- Ability to operate cleaning and laundry equipment.
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and order throughout the facility.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and respectfully with people of all ages and backgrounds.

The employee is frequently required to walk, stand, stoop, climb, balance, kneel, bend, crouch, crawl, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to talk and hear. The incumbent may be required to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
Environmental Conditions:
The work is typically performed in an office, fitness center, or classroom environment, with a moderate noise level. Working conditions may occasionally include work near moving mechanical parts; wet, humid conditions (non-weather); work in high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather conditions, and risk of electric shock.
