Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform proper diagnosis, troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of parts on customer and fleet vehicles.
  • Transcribe and explain the complaint, cause, and correction of internal and external customer vehicles on the back of every repair order (RO).
  • Hydraulic experience and aerial lift maintenance a plus.
  • Heavy duty experience required.
  • Diesel engine repair experience required.
  • Ensure all proper documentation and printouts are with every repair order.
  • Capture all media (video, pictures, and multipoint inspections) on every RO.
  • Provide correct and accurate multi‑point inspections on every RO.
  • Return customer vehicles in the same condition or cleaner than received.
  • Escalate issues to the Service Manager regarding customer vehicles.
  • Ensure repairs are properly performed with a test drive and include out mileage in repair orders.
  • Communicate effectively with Service Advisor and all departments.
  • Conduct oneself professionally with employees and customers.
  • Always wear proper company‑provided work attire.
  • Keep up with required training provided by Ford Motor Company.
  • Maintain a clean work area.
  • Meet with Manager/Shop Foreman to learn the work schedule and current tasks.
  • Use necessary tools and equipment competently.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Stay abreast of factory technical bulletins.
  • Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations governing service repair work.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
  • 3–5 years’ experience as a Ford Heavy Duty Service Technician.
  • Brand Service experience preferred but not required.
  • Effective one‑on‑one communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret customer and technician needs.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Valid driver’s license.
