Clearwater Construction is currently accepting resumes for a Mechanic. The primary purpose of this position is to perform mechanical repairs with minimal supervision to ensure proper performance and safety of company vehicles and construction equipment.

Qualifications
  • Knowledge of diesel and gas engine maintenance and repair.
  • Ability to diagnose mechanical problems and perform repairs independently.
  • Ability to operate equipment and tools involved in vehicle and construction equipment repair.
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and vehicle parts.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in a shop environment.
  • Must have a technical understanding with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate dependability, thoroughness, and excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Class A CDL is a plus, but not required.
  • Must have valid Driver’s License.
Job Responsibilities
  • Evaluate mechanical problems in vehicles using diagnostic equipment.
  • Help mechanics evaluate mechanical problems and inspect repairs completed.
  • Rebuild, replace, or repair major vehicle and equipment components, assemblies, and systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, etc.
  • Estimate time and materials required to perform repairs.
  • Analyze engine performance and perform tune-ups as needed.
  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance and preventive care.
  • Maintain accurate, updated preventive maintenance records.
  • Operate tools, equipment, and machinery according to prescribed safety procedures.
  • Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties.
  • Ensure shop, equipment, and tools are in safe operating condition.
  • Correct unsafe conditions in work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to supervisor immediately.
