Responsibilities
As a wealth management advisor, you’re responsible for developing and maintaining lasting and trusting business relationships with members and clients, to ensure they’re satisfied. You listen to members’ and clients’ needs, offer them advice that fits their financial situation, and help them choose appropriate solutions to meet their financial goals and make their projects happen. You work closely with mass‑affluent individuals, businesses, and business owners across all life stages.
Your client base has high business development potential, so interpersonal savvy is essential. You prepare comprehensive financial plans, targeted investment and financing strategies, and insurance offers for your clients. You serve as a resource person for savings and investments, financial planning, portfolio diversification, intergenerational transfers, and tax strategies. You also support the financial empowerment of members and clients while balancing member/client satisfaction, business objectives, profitability, and prudent risk management.
You promote digital solutions and help members and clients start using them. As needed, you carry out financial transactions and present self‑serve solutions for future transactions. You work with partners and specialists to design integrated strategies that meet the needs of members and clients, identify business opportunities, and direct members and clients to colleagues or other entities for specialized or day‑to‑day needs.
- Advise members and clients on the best strategies and determine target outcomes.
- Manage business relationships, assess member/client satisfaction and service quality, follow up and identify areas for improvement.
- Stay on top of financial services industry news, market trends and best practices in your field so you can identify business development opportunities.
- Participate in outreach activities and be present in the community.
- Conduct onsite visits of the businesses you serve.

- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- A minimum of four years of relevant experience
- Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Mutual fund representative certificate – Autorité des marchés financiers
- Hold the Financial Planner title awarded by the Institut québécois de planification financière (IQPF)
- Knowledge of French is required
- Available for travel to all service points of the caisse
