Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator;

SRC Construction is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Heavy Equipment Operator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery to support residential and commercial construction projects. This role requires attention to safety, efficiency, and quality workmanship while working closely with site supervisors and other construction team members.
Responsibilities- Operate heavy construction equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, and backhoes.
- Perform excavation, grading, trenching, and material handling according to project specifications.
- Conduct daily pre-operation equipment inspections and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns.
- Follow site plans, grade stakes, and instructions from supervisors to ensure accurate work.
- Maintain safe work practices and comply with OSHA and company safety standards.
- Assist with general site preparation and cleanup as needed.
- Coordinate with crew members, subcontractors, and site management to maintain project timelines.
- Perform basic maintenance and ensure equipment is kept clean and in good operating condition.
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment.
- Knowledge of construction site safety practices and OSHA standards.
- Ability to read site plans, grade stakes, and instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a team environment.
- Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred but not required.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Physical ability to sit, stand, climb, and lift materials as required.
- Experience with residential or multi-family construction projects.
- Basic equipment maintenance knowledge.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
